Poetry listening has a long history and tradition in Gujarat, as is well known. Three poets – Saumya Joshi, Anil Chavda, and Bhavesh Bhatt —have become incredibly well-known thanks to this tradition. In addition to being a celebrated and successful theatre director, Saumya is well-known for his poetry and lyrics in the national award-winning movie Hellaro and the most well-known Coke studio song, Khalasi.
