Spring School Holidays at Melbourne Museum
About the event
Budding makers can experiment with design, symbolism and storytelling through immersive and hands-on activities inspired by ancient Rome and the exhibition Rome: Empire. Power, People.
The spring school holiday highlights include:
• Discover a world four billion years in the making in the new 'Our Wondrous Planet' exhibition. • Creative Lab: Rise of the Gladiators, where children shape their own gladiator identity through craft and play. • Mosaic Monuments, a free school holiday activity where children colour their own mosaic tile and add it to a growing participatory artwork. • Museum Sleepovers return these school holidays giving families exclusive after‑hours access to Melbourne Museum and IMAX before settling in for a night sleeping beneath the dinosaurs. • Tiny Tours is a program specially designed for younger children to discover the animals and habitats that make our planet extraordinary.
