About the event
On Friday 18 September, we come together to celebrate a new exhibition featuring the work of [Jaap Kamsma](https://jaapkamsma.com/) and [Erik Vinkenoog](https://erikvinkenoog.com/), curated by [Joost Visser of Het Huis van Visser](https://www.instagram.com/hethuisvanvisser/).
Make Hay is a recurring exhibition series that brings artists together through intuitive combinations. For this fourth edition, the work of Jaap Kamsma and Erik Vinkenoog meets within the space of [gallery buibin](https://gallerybuibin.com/).
The opening is an opportunity to experience the exhibition for the first time, but also to meet. Expect an evening of art, music, conversation and probably soup by the Visser family.
We hope to bring together artists, neighbours, friends, art lovers and curious minds for an evening of shared conversations and unexpected encounters. Whether you come to see the exhibition, meet new people or simply spend an evening surrounded by art, you are very welcome.
[Jaap Kamsma](https://jaapkamsma.com/) is an Amsterdam-based visual artist working with painting and artist's books. His large-scale paintings emerge from memories, observations and images that continue to stay with him.
His work moves between nature and civilisation, giving shape to stories of adventure, danger, monsters, disaster, stillness and beauty.
https://erikvinkenoog.com/[Erik Vinkenoog](https://erikvinkenoog.com/)'s work is rooted in an ongoing interest in transformation and alchemy. Through painting, materials, lines, curves and arches, he explores moments of transition and the movement from one state into another.
