Our 4th Monday Song Sharing Meeting is coming up at the SAE Institute Featuring Special Guest *Anita Lerche*!
Hey writers - This month we are pleased to host renowned songstress *Anita Lerche* for an opening hour conversation on what's behind her successful music career, being featured on three Grammy nominated albums, and how songwriters can write to help a vocalist.
*Anita Lerche* is a Danish-American, Indiana-based singer and songwriter with an internationally acclaimed career spanning multiple cultures and musical traditions. A Billboard Top 2 charting artist, Anita’s voice has been featured on three GRAMMY®-nominated albums, including Charu Suri’s *“Shayan”*, which had its World Premiere at Carnegie Hall. Known for her pioneering contributions to Punjabi music, Anita has performed around the world and built a career centered on connecting people through music. Her sixth studio album, *“Songs from the Kingdom of Denmark”*, celebrates her Danish heritage and musical traditions, earning international recognition including a Gold Medal for Female Vocalist from the Global Music Awards. Her album *“Love Is My Religion”*, produced together with GRAMMY® Award-winning guitarist Jim “Kimo” West, continues her mission to create music that transcends cultural and geographic boundaries. Anita is also a Voting member of The Recording Academy and serves as a Chicago Chapter Governor. Anita will be joining us via Zoom so please tune in if you can't make it down to SAE Institute for the meeting (ZOOM DETAILS SOON). After our conversation with Anita, we will be doing an hour of song-sharing! This is your chance to hang around with other songwriters, talk about the details and learn from others. Perspectives from fellow songwriters can put some polish on those diamonds in the rough.
Feel free to bring along an instrument or recorded material to share with the group for positive Collaborative Feedback.
No Keyboard on site although if you request, we can typically bring one along.
