Like meeting people through doing something together rather than standing around at a networking mixer?
We're starting a casual Sunday walking series at Toronto's Harbourfront specifically for entrepreneurs, founders and business owners.
🚶 Toronto Entrepreneur Social Walk
Nothing complicated.
We meet.
We walk along the waterfront.
We talk.
Hopefully everyone leaves knowing a few interesting new people.
Why a walk?
A walk gives everyone something to do while conversations happen naturally.
There's less pressure than walking into a room full of strangers and trying to figure out who to talk to.
You can move around.
Talk to different people.
Enjoy the waterfront.
And if you meet someone interesting, keep walking with them.
This is a social event first
Although the attendees are entrepreneurs and business owners, this isn't intended to feel like a traditional networking event.
There are:
• No speeches
• No formal introductions around a giant circle
• No name badges
• No business-card competition
• No requirement to pitch what you do
Business will obviously come up.
But so might:
• Travel
• Toronto
• Food
• Fitness
• Technology
• Relationships
• Hobbies
• Ideas
• Life
That's completely fine.
📍 Where
Toronto Harbourfront
We'll meet around Simcoe WaveDeck / Harbourfront Centre, near The Power Plant.
The exact location and instructions will be provided through Luma.
🕔 When
Sunday · 5:00 PM
We expect the walk to run until approximately:
6:15 PM
🚶 How long?
Approximately 75 minutes at an easy conversational pace.
This isn't a workout or speed-walking group.
The goal is conversation.
👥 Who should join
This particular walk is for people who are:
• Entrepreneurs
• Founders
• Business owners
• Self-employed
• Freelancers
• Actively building a business or project
You don't have to run a huge company.
But you should currently be building, operating or seriously working toward something.
The kind of people we're hoping for
People who are:
• Friendly
• Curious
• Open-minded
• Comfortable meeting someone new
• Interested in more than simply promoting themselves
The goal isn't to meet the largest number of people.
It's to hopefully meet one or two people you actually click with.
☕ Want to stay afterward?
Anyone who wants can grab coffee, food or a drink around Harbourfront after the walk.
Totally optional.
A few community guidelines
Don't hard sell.
Don't use the event as a prospecting list.
Include people who came alone.
If you reserve a limited spot, please actually come or cancel early.
Other than that, keep it casual.
🎟 Registration
Please note:
Your Meetup RSVP alone does not reserve a spot.
Official registration is through Luma:
