Mt. Kongo Hiking & Hot Springs Tour　金剛山ハイキング＆温泉ツアー

This is a hike to Mt. Kongo (1125m above sea level), the most popular mountain in Kansai. We will take the Chihaya Hondo route, which is said to be the most suitable for beginners. On the way back, we will stop at a famous higanbana (cluster amaryllis) viewing spot and a hot spring on the Katsuragi Kodo trail. We will go to the hot spring early, so you can relax for 2 to 3 hours. We ran this tour two years ago as well, and it was a huge hit, but this time we’ve made the itinerary a bit more relaxed than last time☆

【Itinerary】 8:00 Meet near the Seven Bank ATM at the West Exit of JR Shin-Imamiya Station on the 3rd floor (connecting ticket gate with Nankai Railway) 8:04 Departure of express train bound for Rinkan Denentoshi *540 yen 8:30 Arrive at Kawachinagano Station, stop at a convenience store in front of the ticket gate (5 minutes) 8:50 Departure from Nankai Bus *500 yen 9:16 Arrive at Kongo trailhead, stop at a restroom & tofu shop. 9:40 Start hiking. Take the Chihaya Hondo route. 11:40 Arrive at the summit for lunch. *There are convenience stores, cafeterias, and restrooms nearby, but please buy your lunch in advance at a convenience store or similar location. 12:40 Kongo Katsuragi Shrine 13:10 Observation platform, picnic area, Chihaya Star and Nature Museum 13:40 Start descending from Fushimi Pass 15:30 Fushimi-san Bodai-ji Temple 15:40 Fushimi Pond *Fushimi Pond is famous for higanbana (cluster amaryllis) 16:25 Arrive at Kamokimi no Yu bus stop. 16:30 Kamokimi no Yu (hot spring) *800 yen for a bath 18:29 Nara Kotsu Bus departs *460 yen 18:54 Train departs from Kintetsu Gosho Station, transfer to express train at Shakudo Station *760 yen 19:43 Arrive at Osaka Abenobashi Station (Tennoji Station) and disband

【Regarding Meeting and Dismissal】 It’s okay to meet up at Kawachinagano Station. No need to send a message in advance. We’ll meet at 8:35 in front of the 7-Eleven located in front of the ticket gates (Nankai Electric Railway). If you’re running late due to train delays or other reasons, we will not wait for you. You may not catch up with the group after we’ve left. Additionally, we cannot respond to individual messages. If there are any announcements, we’ll post a message to everyone in the comments section. On the way to the Kamokimi-no-Yu bus stop, leaving the group early is prohibited, except in emergencies such as illness.

【About the Hot Springs.】 Tattoos are not allowed, but they are permitted if they can be covered with tattoo-concealing stickers or similar items. According to the itinerary, the bathing time is approximately 2 hours, but you are free to leave whenever you like. The bus schedule from the hot springs to Kintetsu Gose Station is as follows: 16:32, 17:29, 18:29, 19:36 (last bus)
