The show comprises two sections: 'Plant and plantation: banana cultures in Segall' assembles drawings, prints and paintings by Lasar Segall (1889–1957) to demonstrate how the artist established banana plants as a central subject throughout his career. Curated by Ana Carolina Carmona, author of 'Pequeno guia da botânica modernista' (2020). 'Lasar Segall: other landscapes on the horizon' investigates landscape within the artist's work as a visual field encompassing experience, displacement and belonging. Curated by Pierina Camargo, Museum researcher.
