This is designed for those with little to no knowledge of Canadian banking and investing. It will cover the basics of bank account types, investing methods, tax advantages, and how they all relate to each other. The goal is to equip you with a solid understanding of the core concepts.

Who am I?
My name is Cezary. Over the past 2 decades I learned how money works in Canada and how to invest it. I have now reached my financial goals and am sharing what I have learned to help others get started.

You are ready to start learning about banking and investing, but feel overwhelmed at all the information out there and are looking to understand the foundational basics first.
What will we cover?
We will cover the structure of the Canadian banking system (not deep, just enough to help with everything else) and dive into the following:
• Account types (CHQ / SAV, RRSP, TFSA, FHSA, RESP, etc)
• Different holdings (cash, good / bad debt, GIC, HYSA, Mutual Funds, ETFs, Stocks / Bonds)
• How the above relate to each other and which to use first to reach your goals
• Investment methods and risk tolerance
• Tax advantages and strategies
• Common ways to invest (Managed investing vs Self-directed vs Robo-investing)
• Examples of how to get started at a major bank or brokerage
• Additional resources you can use to continue your learning journey
The session is designed to take \~30 minutes, but I encourage questions during the presentation so expect us to take 45 - 60 minutes to cover everything. If you have questions on any topic too advanced for this beginner session, I’m happy to answer them after the session.

• Pen and paper - You will create one chart and take notes as needed
• Questions you’d like answered - I’m happy to answer in front of the whole group or privately
