Wibi Soerjadi Kerstgala
About the event
During this Christmas Gala, Wibi Soerjadi celebrates a special anniversary: he has been in the profession as a concert pianist for 45 years. We know Wibi as a pianist of impressive stature. Both connoisseurs and less experienced listeners are impressed by Wibi's masterful piano playing. Wibi Soerjadi
Peter Schlamilch of De Nieuwe Muze wrote: 'Soerjadi manages to create a unique musical "backstage landscape" that few can emulate: various layers from the score are placed on the stage almost visually, individually perceptible yet always in complete unity, just as a magician enchants his audience and keeps them partly unaware of reality. The fans brought the house down.'
Highlights
Wibi's program will consist of two parts. The first part takes a journey through the history of his career, featuring a selection of highlights from his musical life. In the second part, Wibi pays tribute to film music. He performs his much-admired, unique arrangements of music from famous films, as well as his own compositions.
Wibi is really looking forward to this Anniversary Concert, and afterwards there is the opportunity for a personal meet & greet.
