A Night at the Mortuary

Koolhoven and Simons open the doors to cinema’s mortuary with this amazing Danish crime thriller come psychological horror film Nattevagten (Nightwatch, 1994, on vintage 35mm). Plus a plethora of film excerpts that will chill you to the bone. The young law student Martin (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Game of Thrones) works as a night watchman for the forensics department in Copenhagen. During his introduction, Martin’s predecessor warns him of the effects the mortuary can have on people. If only he had listened. At the same time, the city is plagued by a series of violent, grotesque murders of young women.
