Festival Entendidas at MDS – Queer Women's Art and Culture

A cultural gathering celebrating lesbian and bisexual women through art, entrepreneurship, research and activism. The program is free and open to all. Artists, collectives, entrepreneurs, researchers and activists participate across a full day of events. SCHEDULE 11h – Festival opens with DJ Brooklyn 11h – Entrepreneurs' Market 12h – Storytelling for children 14h30 – Launch of the 25th edition of Alternativa-L magazine 15h30 – Book launch: Vivências Lésbicas Gordas, followed by conversation hosted by Sheila Costa and Susane Allmeida 15h30 to 16h30 – DJ set by Sandra Campello from the Ocupa Sapatão ABC collective 17h – Tribute to Cássia Eller with Maria Chistina 18h – Festival closes with DJ Brooklyn DATE Saturday, 22 August 2026, 11h to 18h VENUE Museu da Diversidade Sexual – República Station, Metro (after the turnstiles, head toward the Rua do Arouche exit; the museum is located in that direction from the ticket counter). IMPORTANT INFORMATION Ticket pickup is not required; registration helps us track attendance. A list will allow participation by those who did not collect a ticket.
