For this outing, I'm coordinating a group ticket purchase for anyone who would like to go in with Quietly Queer (see details below for how to get yours).

Join us for a Quietly Queer outing to NightLife at the California Academy of Sciences on Thursday, August 20 from 6-8:30PM (the actual function runs until 10PM). Check out all the cool things we'll get to explore [here](https://www.calacademy.org/nightlife/nightlife-august-20) from a rainforest and aquarium!
We'll meet in front of the Academy so people can arrive, say hello, and enter as a group. I will also have Quietly Queer [stickers](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PzEtgn-PM3a7eWY-vK_7m3E5O2ZE_V1-xvpvml8QbCg/edit) for 3-4 volunteers to wear throughout the evening to help make the group easier to find as we explore the space.

💡 Vibe: Adults only (18+), exploratory, and social in a very low-pressure way. Expect a lively, after-hours museum atmosphere as we'll move through the installations, grab a beverage or bite, and connect with others along the way.
This is a low-pressure, come-as-you-are LGBTQ+ social outing. You're welcome to explore the Academy with us, break off into smaller groups, wander on your own, or drift in and out of conversations as feels comfortable. I'll be available on Meetup Messages/DMs if you lose us.
🎟️ Group tickets
The individual NightLife ticket is $26. By purchasing our tickets together, we'll receive a 10% group discount. Rather than passing that small discount back individually, we're going to use the savings to help cover the ongoing costs of running Quietly Queer such as our [Meetup Premium ](https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/28677808413197-Organizer-Subscription-prices-overview)cost associated with organizing and maintaining the group.
To get your ticket with the QQ group purchase, send me $26 once you've registered for a spot on this event, and I'll purchase them together. We will only get the group discount if we purchase a minimum of tickets. If you'd rather purchase your own ticket directly from the Academy, that's completely fine too! You can still join us and meet up with the group if you have registered for a spot on the event.
