OVERVIEW As part of the celebration of 10 Years of Training, Memory and Community Culture with Instituto Bixiga, this artistic and cultural exhibition brings together cultural entities and collectives from Bixiga. It aims to highlight and honor the cultural richness and diversity of these living culture agents at the heart of this multicultural neighborhood. Beyond a traditional exhibition, the event serves as a meeting point and space for recognition, valuing the essential work of associations, groups and collectives that autonomously and passionately preserve traditions, innovate in artistic languages and promote social inclusion through art. The exhibition centers on recognizing, documenting and sharing the work of these entities and collectives. Curatorial choices emphasize narratives of resistance and creation emerging from their practice. It presents multiple forms of cultural expression—living culture—demonstrating how each entity and collective contributes to the unique cultural fabric of the territory. Held across June, July and August, the exhibition features three presentations showcasing the artistic and cultural work of six representatives from cultural entities, collectives, movements of culture and memory, and masters of local popular and traditional cultures. Part of the 10 Years of Training, Memory and Community Culture with Instituto Bixiga project, the exhibition promotes, documents, values and shares the art, culture and historical, material and immaterial heritage of Bixiga—a significant territory in São Paulo's historical and sociocultural formation, marked by social diversity and a distinctive blend of influences, customs and accents that have become symbols of the paulista metropolis.
