ASSEMBLY: A QUEER BLACK VOICES EXPERIENCE Sunday, September 27 | 3:00 PM | Galaxy Theatres Austin Where art becomes liberation. aGLIFF’s Queer Black Voices initiative proudly presents Assembly, a visually stunning documentary following internationally acclaimed artist Rashaad Newsome as he transforms New York’s historic Park Avenue Armory into a bold celebration of Black queer culture. Blending performance, music, dance, visual art, technology, and AI, Newsome and his collaborators reclaim a space once associated with white military power and reimagine it as a place of creativity, resilience, and liberation. The result is an immersive exploration of how Black queer artists confront history, build community, and imagine new possibilities for the future.
