🌠 Perseids Meteor Shower Night in Al Qudra Desert Join us for a relaxed night under the stars as we head to Al Qudra Desert to watch the Perseids meteor shower—one of the most exciting stargazing events of the year! We’ll escape Dubai’s city lights, settle down in the desert and watch the sky together for shooting stars. This is a casual, friendly meetup for anyone who enjoys astronomy, nature, photography or simply spending a peaceful evening outdoors. 📅 Date: Friday, 14 August 2026 🕙 Time: 10:00 PM onwards 📍 Location: Al Qudra Desert — the exact meeting point will be shared with confirmed attendees 💰 Cost: Free What to bring • A camping chair, mattress or blanket to lie on • Plenty of drinking water • Snacks or a light meal • Comfortable clothes and closed shoes • Insect repellent • A red-light torch, if available • A fully charged phone and power bank • A camera and tripod if you would like to try astrophotography No telescope or special astronomy experience is required. The best way to watch a meteor shower is simply to lie back, allow your eyes to adjust to the darkness and enjoy a wide view of the sky. Important information Please arrive on time so we can travel to the viewing location together. Avoid using bright lights or phone flashlights during the observation, as they affect everyone’s night vision. This event is weather-dependent, and meteor visibility cannot be guaranteed. Please drive carefully, follow the shared location instructions and remain with the group. Everyone is responsible for their own transportation, food, water and personal safety. Kindly keep the desert clean and take everything you bring back with you. No littering, loud music or activities that may disturb other visitors or wildlife.
