Art Night Enters Sweater Weather
About the event
An afternoon to slow down, meet others from around the city who love to create, and make a little room for imagination simply for the joy of it. Whether art is your full time thing, a side passion, or something you want to make more time for, you’re welcome here. No pressure to produce or make something impressive—just time and space to connect with our inner artist, and one another.
About the event: As usual you are welcome to bring your own supplies. Art Night will provide sketch books, colour pencils and markers. Our events are free, but if you feel inclined to make a small donation (which goes towards housekeeping stuff like the event art supplies refill / meetup / budgeting for future Art Night events...), we'd be grateful!
About the venue: The restaurant Aunt Dai will close their kitchen during the span of our event so you are welcome to bring your own drinks and food to the venue. You are welcome to order at the restaurant after 5pm when the kitchen re-opens. Some of us will probably stay after to order food.
A bit about our Art nights: Art Night is a monthly event brought to you by the friendly folks from the Re:Create art collective and sponsored in part by Jubillee Montreal church. See info at https://www.jblmontreal.org
Art Night is meant to bring people together to explore their creativity in a fun, collaborative way.
Are you a beginner? A professional? A master? Or you've never drawn or painted before? Perfect, everybody's welcome and no one's here to judge. We just love being creative and love seeing other people create and express themselves. So come on out. We'd love to see you. Let's be creative together.
Please note: Art night is a safe space. Should you choose to attend, you are expected to show respect and understanding to your fellow attendees as well as the owners and management of the venue, no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation, religion or creed.
If at any point an issue arises where we are made aware that that is not the case, you may be kindly asked to leave at the discretion of the event organizers.
