Urban Farm Volunteer Day: Ginkgo Organic Gardens in Uptown

Join CCL at Ginkgo Organic Gardens! As the growing season must come to a close, this will be our last trip to the garden for the year. Whether you went to every outing or this'll be your first, come check out all the amazing work Ginkgo has done in 2026! There's especially a lot to do to wrap up at the end of the year, so your help is doubly appreciated for this session.

NOTE: Please bring water and close-toed shoes. All equipment will be provided on-site.

Ginkgo Organic Gardens is a community pantry garden in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood. They employ sustainable agricultural practices to grow heirloom varieties of fruits and vegetables. They donate their produce to organizations that serve people who struggle with poverty and illness.

Through volunteer work days, Ginkgo provides opportunities for individuals and groups to contribute to the organization’s mission of being stewards of the land while serving others with high-quality food.
