Want to practise English or Japanese, but tired of studying alone? Come hang out with real people in a relaxed, judgement-free space. Whether you’re a beginner or intermediate speaker, you’ll leave with new friends, fresh vocabulary, and a little more confidence.
Who This Is For
• Anyone who wants to practise English or Japanese (beginners & intermediate welcome)
• Solo participants — most people come alone, so you’re in good company
• Anyone who wants international friends in Vancouver
• Even if you’re tired and just want to chat casually — you’re welcome
What You Get
• Curated topic cards so you never run out of things to say
• English & Japanese vocabulary lists to take home
• Assigned seating designed to mix people up and spark new connections
• A supportive atmosphere where mistakes are encouraged, not corrected
Event Format
Round 1 — English only (1 hour)
Round 2 — Japanese only (1 hour)
*Comfortable in both languages? Join both rounds. Prefer just one? That’s completely fine.*
Participation Fee
Everyone in Canada — FREE (just follow @chit_chat_canada)
Not following our Instagram? — $10 cash

Good to Know
• Late arrival & early departure are both okay
• Bring a notebook — organisers are happy to answer language questions
• Seats are assigned by organisers to keep conversations balanced

This is a space for connection, not competition. Please encourage others rather than comparing or correcting. No negative comments about anyone’s language ability.

• 英語・日本語の語彙リストをお持ち帰り

イベントの流れ
前半 — 英語のみ（1時間）
後半 — 日本語のみ（1時間）
両方の言語が使える方は両方のラウンドに参加*OK*。片方だけでももちろん大丈夫です。
