Family Day at The Bass

The Bass

About the event

Families can spend an afternoon immersed in creativity, exploration and hands-on artmaking at The Bass during this monthly program designed for children of all ages. Each session features in-person activities in the Bass Creativity Center, where all materials are provided to encourage artistic play and experimentation. Families can also embark on an interactive art exploration of the museum’s exhibitions using an art explorer guide, a scavenger-hunt-style activity that invites participants to look closely, make discoveries and engage more deeply with works on view. Every Family Day includes special Art Cares projects focused on well-being and emotional expression through art. Complimentary bus service is available from Coconut Grove, Little Havana and Little River on select Sundays. Here’s what’s coming up: January 25 – STEAM + Celebration Explore the connections between science and art through light, reflection and symmetry inspired by The Kaleidoscopic and Karen Rifas’ mirrored installations.
