Have you ever felt intimidated by dancing? Let’s change that!
Some consider dancing to be scary and implying certain gendered expectations. This class is designed to dissolve that fear by building confidence and comfort to explore movement: whether to connect with others on the dance floor or just by yourself to explore your relationship with your body.
We’ll start with one question – what do you want to get out of this class? There is no wrong answer – come as you are.
With gentle and structured exercises you will learn several fundamental dance skills: how to listen to music, body awareness practice and basic dance steps and skills. The class will close out with a free dance jam where you can play and get silly with the learned material.
Dance is joyful and liberating – come to explore and have fun!
