Melbourne Social Walk: More Steps, More Connections 🚶♀️🚶♂️
About the event
Want to get some steps in, meet new people, and enjoy some meaningful conversations along the way? Join us for a relaxed Sunday social walk through Melbourne’s Docklands.
This isn’t a race or a serious fitness event — the goal is simply to walk, talk, make new friends, and connect with people in a natural, low-pressure setting.
Coming alone? Perfect. Most people join social Meetups to meet someone new, so don’t worry if you don’t know anyone yet.
📅 Date
Sunday, 4 October 2026 @ 5:00PM
📍 Meeting Point
Southern Cross Station — near the main steps, close to KFC. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can introduce ourselves before we start walking.
🚶 The Route
We’ll keep a moderate-to-brisk walking pace throughout the walk from Southern Cross Station → Docklands → NewQuay → Southern Cross Station
The full loop is approximately 6 km and is mostly flat with no significant elevation, so it should be suitable for anyone comfortable with a relaxed 6 km walk.
Along the way, we’ll mix things up so everyone has a chance to chat with different people rather than staying with the same person for the entire walk.
☕ The Goal
Get some steps in. Have some good conversations. Meet people you might not otherwise cross paths with. And hopefully leave with a few new connections.
🌧️ Weather Notice
Melbourne weather can be unpredictable! If you RSVP early, please check the Meetup event page again on the day of the event for any updates. If heavy rain or unsuitable weather is forecast, we may change the time, date, route, or postpone the walk.
