Clash of the Titans

Previous films on the Classics must of course be represented at the première of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Clash of the Titans brings together Laurence Olivier (Zeus), Ursula Andress (Aphrodite) and Maggie Smith (Thetis); Zeus’ son Perseus joins battle with the sea monster the Kraken. Things take a pretty nasty turn in Desmond Davis’ film adaptation of the myth of Perseus. Gods and demi-gods really set about each other – and not without some pretty severe consequences.
