REMEMBRANCE - A Sound Journey Through the Threads of Time @ The Imaginarium

REMEMBRANCE - A Sound Journey Through the Threads of Time We welcome you to join us as we usher in a another aspect to our everchanging Imaginarium ecosystem. Find us up at Baskloof Nature Reserve on the 10 of October for a sonic bath. Let the sounds wash through you as we connect to Venus and the New Moon, the mountains and the great ocean. ———————————We welcome Vanessa Holliday to The Imaginarium - vocal guide and somatics educator who bridges the worlds of sonic artistry and nervous system regulation. Transitioning from a high-profile international DJ career to the world of therapeutic frequency in 2016, Holliday has guided many through live experiences, accredited practitioner trainings and immersive international retreats. Her work spans the globe with deep ties to Canada, Bali and South Africa. As a learned astrologer, the celestial bodies too, have their part to play in these Sound Journeys. There is a sense in her work of allowing the teachings of these spaces (both on Earth and in the Stars) to create incredibly thoughtful and heartfelt sonic landscapes. ———————————————— REMEMBRANCE is an immersive sound journey exploring memory, ancestry, loss, belonging, and our connection to those who came before us and those yet to come. Through voice, huge cosmic gongs, field recordings, drums, lush organic sounds and moments of silence, we will move through a sonic landscape that creates space for reflection, feeling and remembrance. The effects amplified by the wonders of high up Baskloof. You are invited to bring a photograph or small object representing someone you would like to honour — an ancestor, a loved one who has passed, or something that connects you to your own story. * Remember who you are. Remember who you were before the world told you who to be. Remember the parts of yourself you may have forgotten. Remember the dreams you once carried. Remember the wisdom held within your body. Remember the places that have shaped you. Remember the people who walked beside you. Remember a loved one who has passed beyond this life. Remember your ancestors and the lives that came before you. Remember the stories, songs and traditions carried through generations. Remember your connection to the Earth. Remember that you belong to something greater than yourself. Remember your voice. Remember your heart. Remember what matters. Remember what you are ready to release. Remember what you choose to carry forward. Remember those who came before you. Remember those yet to come. There is nothing you need to achieve. Only listen. Feel. And remember. much love, Team Imagine.
