Zoé Jusseret on Comic Books and Graphic Novels
About the event
Zoé Jusseret will speak about her journey as an artist, including influences on her work and favourite techniques, as well as her various publishing experiences. She works in collage and monotype. Line or patterns are obtained by transfer, cut out, glued and added to form landscapes. Each print bears the precise trace of a gesture, retaining the intensity and texture of the layers of paint. --- Zoé Jusseret is a Belgian illustrator, comic book author and graphic novelist. After taking courses at the Marche-en-Famenne Academy of fine Arts and completing her secondary education, she enrolled at the Saint-Luc Institute in Brussels. There she was introduced to alternative comics and monotype. Zoe graduated in 2008. Since then, she has published a number of works and is currently based in Vancouver BC. --- Please register.
