Scratch Night 2026 with Jocelyn R.C.

What happens when a childhood photograph becomes more than a memory? Here Then invites audiences behind the scenes of an evolving participatory portrait project exploring time, memory, and identity. During this live event, artist Jocelyn R.C. will create portraits on stage using participants’ childhood photographs as the primary source of light while sharing the creative process, technical approach, and questions that have shaped the work. Through live portrait-making, conversation, and audience participation, “Here Then: In Process” asks a simple question with surprisingly broad implications: What might change if we first learned to see every stranger as the child they once were?
