Patterns and Anti-Patterns of Agentic Engineering

A compilation of emerging patterns and common pitfalls observed in over 50 companies. From naive prompting, unhealthy context management, careless approvals, and absence of security concerns, to guardrails, specialist agents, cognitive debt prevention, self-learning agents, and memory management systems.

Join this talk to cut through the hype and learn from the market leaders in agentic engineering adoption. Not for the faint of heart - you probably use many of the anti-patterns today.

*About Victor* With 2 decades of software engineering experience, Victor spent the last 10 years training thousands of developers and architects from 150+ companies.

Since early 2026, he’s been working hard to help his clients adopt Agentic Engineering (see [https://agentic.how](https://agentic.how/)), coaching AI Champions, developers, testers, product owners, ops, and managers with practical, actionable advice to kick-start their agentic reconversion.

Every year, Victor gives energetic, intense conference talks in which he distills his training sessions - so be sure not to miss these ideas, heavily brainstormed with millennia of total experience. More about him on[ https://victorrentea.ro](https://victorrentea.ro/).

Additional notes:

• This meetup does not include a full meal (maybe some snacks) but you might buy your own drinks and food at the venue. • Some pictures might be made. If you feel uncomfortable about this, please mention this to the organizers (or anyone with a camera).
