[8/29] [Rock Climbing] Parangsae (Blue Bird) Ridge (Mt. Bukhansan)

Bukhansan*** ***[Meeting date and time] Aug. 29(Sat.), 2026 at 09:00 a.m.*** ***[Meeting place] A round wooden bench 30 metres behind Exit 2 of Gupabal Station on Line 3*** *This route is the ‘Parangsae Ridge’, the most popular of all the ridge routes on Mount Bukhansan. It was named ‘Parangsae’ because there is a rock along the route that resembles Parangsae, a legendary bird. For safety reasons, rock-climbing gear is used to progress along the route. The Blue Bird Ridge is a rocky ridge stretching from the north-west of Baekundae towards Bamgol; it is a hidden ridge trail boasting some of the most spectacular views on Mount Bukhansan. As you follow the ridge, you can admire Baekundae, Insu Peak and the Hidden Wall from a different perspective than usual, whilst General Peak and a succession of bizarre rock formations offer a magnificent panorama.
