German Week Opening Night: Movie Party

German Week Melbourne starts here. Right in the heart of Melbourne, German culture is being set loose for two weeks. And to kick it off properly: an Opening Night Movie Party. Come along for a pre-party with good music and drinks, then continue the evening with a film screening where laughter takes over.

They say Germans have no sense of humour. Not true.

Empty Nesters (Die Ältern), the new German comedy film from director Sönke Wortmann, follows Hannes as his carefully balanced family life begins to shift when his daughter moves out and his wife moves on.

Your ticket includes drinks, a German snack box and popcorn.

This film event is co-presented by the Goethe-Institut, a national sponsor of German Week.
