We will start our walk from the south end of the Roberta Crenshaw bridge located under Mopac (Loop 1) just west of Zilker Park. There is plenty of free parking under the highway south of the Colorado River, which is located along Stratford Drive.
##*If you are having trouble locating the parking lot, use the address in your GPS for Austin Nature & Science Center at 2389 Stratford Drive. The lot is located to the east under the highway*.##
****Alternate parking can be found on the north side of the river at Austin High School. However, the street and lot parking are paid parking until 8 pm. The exception is at the gravel lot under the southbound side of Mopac (Loop1) which remains free. Those that choose this parking option should walk across the walking bridge to find us.
Please note: We'll meet on the trail at the south end of the Roberta Crenshaw walking bridge.
Our walk will cover about 3 to 4 miles in an hour and a half, walking at a steady pace with a few short breaks. The route will be a relatively easy, flat trail with possibly a few small climbs.
** As a suggestion, please consider wearing tennis shoes, and bringing along water.**
