Hi friends,

My name is Addie and I will be hosting an amazing Saturday Potluck get together to meet new friends!!

Join me this evening to watch the sun go down over the bay while we dish up our favorite cultural foods and get a little competitive over board games. We'll start out with about an hour of quick app-guided chats to break the ice, and then we'll break into small groups to claim our spots on the grass and dig in.

The Gist IRL app sets up short one-on-one rounds, matching you with other 20- and 30-somethings so you never have to guess who to approach next. Once the rounds are wrapped up, you'll pick the folks you had the best time chatting with. We'll spread out our blankets on the lawn to share those amazing cultural potluck dishes and play board games together through the rest of the evening.

By the time the sun dips below the bay, you're gathered on a picnic blanket sharing homemade food and listening to some tunes with new friends. Whether this group becomes your regular sunset picnic and game crew or it's just one really beautiful evening by the water, I know we're going to have a great time.

The Plan:

• 5:00PM: Check-In. Just follow the link to get your quick profile set up on your phone. • 5:05PM - 6:25PM: One-on-One Rounds. The app pairs you up for focused chats. Find out who shares your cultural roots and favorite hometown dishes.

• 6:25PM+: Form Groups & Picnic. Reconnect with your favorite matches, form groups of 4-6, find a spot on the lawn, unpack your potluck dishes, and start a board game together. Your group heads out onto the grass together tonight.

Let's skip the routine where we just politely swap social handles and actually have a picnic right now. These folks might just become your go-to people for future park potlucks and sunset picnics.

And if you want to keep the board game rivalry going, you can easily message everyone through the app later on without ever having to give out your real phone number.

Grab your favorite dish and I'll see you on the lawn.

A few favorite spots nearby: Lucca Delicatessen - A historic 1929 Italian deli famed for stacked specialty sandwiches, cured meats, artisan cheeses, and house-made antipasti for an effortless picnic spread. Marina Supermarket - A charming, independent neighborhood market ideal for grabbing fresh fruit, specialty dips, crackers, and chilled drinks on the way to the lawn. Square Pie Guys - A Ghirardelli Square favorite turning out thick, crispy-edged Detroit-style square pizzas that travel easily and are built for sharing with a group. SusieCakes - A cheerful all-American bakery known for scratch-made cupcakes, cookies, and homestyle cake slices that make an easy potluck dessert. The Original Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop - A historic waterfront staple just steps from the park for decadent hot fudge sundaes, shakes, and artisan chocolates.
