Come experience the society we're able to become
What does it mean to feel truly at home? During Rooted Festival, you will discover how stories, art, and encounters connect people. At Buitenplaats De Hoorneboeg, you will enjoy an inspiring day filled with music, workshops, storytelling, film, dance, and conversations about identity, migration, and connectedness.
Be inspired by, for example, Neco Novellas, Ahmad Joudeh, Ragna Indra Heidweiller, and Khadija Sabriye. Participate in interactive workshops, meet new people, and discover how different backgrounds can lead to new insights and connection.
The Bosbios is also dedicated to Diversity & Inclusion this weekend. On Friday, August 28, the classic Wan Pipel will be screened, a special screening to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Suriname's independence. On Saturday, August 29, following the Rooted Festival, a second Bosbios evening will take place that aligns with the festival's themes. Both evenings begin with an inspiring introduction and offer time to chat together and meet new people afterwards.
Rooted Festival is an invitation not only to talk about connection, but to truly experience it. An inspiring day and two special film evenings, where nature, culture, and encounters come together at Buitenplaats De Hoorneboeg.
