🎨 Plein Air Paint-Out at Stern Grove! 🌲✨ Join us for an inspiring morning of open-air creativity inside the hidden canyon of Sigmund Stern Grove. Whether you are a seasoned painter or an avid sketcher, come catch the light and create alongside a community of fellow art lovers! Time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Meeting Spot: Concert Meadow Lawn (Meet right in front of the main stage!) Near Vale Ave. & Crestview Dr. coordinates: 37.73529° N, 122.48416° W
Why You'll Love Painting Here:
• Towering Redwoods: Capture dramatic morning sunbeams filtering through the deep canopy. • Serene Pine Lake: Paint glassy water reflections, lush reeds, and sweeping willows. • Historic Trocadero: Render the rustic, charming lines of the park's 1892 forest clubhouse.
Easy Off-Season Parking:
• Main Lower Lot: Drive down the Entry Road (off 19th & Sloat) to park right by the meadow. • Pine Lake Lot: Park at the end of Vale Ave to set up directly by the water (Vale Ave. & Crestlake Dr.) • Street Parking: Free, unmetered spaces along Wawona St and Sloat Blvd.
Quick Info: Bring your own portable supplies, a chair, and warm layers! We will paint independently and gather at 12:30 PM for a casual "show and tell" of everyone's work. See you there! 👋
