Residents of this sleepy New England town took shelter from the surprise summer squall that terrible night during the Great Convergence. Those that survived that terrible night never spoke of it again, or if they did, no one could understand their gibbering. The Tavern remembers. This immersive, site-specific, improvised event explores the tropes of HP Lovecraft, with an entirely BIPOC score. Our performance space on the second floor of this historic structure. The first few audience members to arrive will draw from the deck of secrets and assign them to the performers. Guests are free to move about the space, observing the inhabitants as the story unfolds. There will be three cycles. Every night, performers will draw different roles and be assigned different secrets, creating an absolutely unique production that will never be repeated. Multiple viewings are encouraged. This production is performed silently, with introductions in ASL and Spanish. Touch tours are available prior to the show starting for the visually impaired, and seating is available throughout the space. Los habitantes de este tranquilo pueblo de Nueva Inglaterra se refugiaron de la inesperada tormenta de verano aquella terrible noche durante la Gran Convergencia. Quienes sobrevivieron jamás volvieron a hablar de ello, o si lo hicieron, nadie pudo entender sus balbuceos. La taberna recuerda. Este evento inmersivo, específico del lugar e improvisado, explora los temas recurrentes de H.P. Lovecraft, con una banda sonora compuesta íntegramente por artistas BIPOC (negros, indígenas y personas de color). Nuestro espacio escénico se encuentra en el segundo piso de este edificio histórico. Los primeros espectadores en llegar sacarán un número de la baraja de secretos y se lo asignarán a los intérpretes. Los asistentes pueden moverse libremente por el espacio, observando a los habitantes mientras se desarrolla la historia. Habrá tres ciclos. Cada noche, los intérpretes sacarán diferentes papeles y se les asignarán diferentes secretos, creando una producción absolutamente única e irrepetible. Se recomienda verla varias veces. Esta producción se representa en silencio, con introducciones en lengua de señas americana (ASL), español, árabe e italiano. Se ofrecen visitas táctiles antes del comienzo del espectáculo, y hay asientos disponibles en todo el recinto.
