Circle Music Experiment 1.0

Come explore the flow!

🌀 We will playing with singing, body percussion, and movement. The focus here is connecting and creating something together, not on the quality of “music” that is made. ⭕️ This circle will be based in the practice of Música do Círculo, a style of circlesinging and collaborative improvisation. I am still learning how to guide this wild glory and this initial gather will be something of an experiment. 🤝 ALL ARE WELCOME regardless of background or ability. MdC is an explicitly inclusive practice! This is a free event in the spirit of reciprocal co-creation. 🕰️ We’ll gather and mingle at 6:30pm and sing soon after! Please arrive by 6:45pm so we can drop in together. ------- Deeper Deets:

Música do Círculo (https://www.musicadocirculo.com/) is a form of improvised community music making from the embodied lands of Brazil that combines singing, vocal percussion, body percussion, and dance.  It’s all led nonverbally, is very playful, and is very accessible to people of all ability levels.  It fosters flow states and joyful connection and emergent creativity. It's pretty much the best thing of all time. I am learning how to facilitate this magic and am hoping to establish an ongoing practice group to play with (and teach how to co-lead with me!) For now, we are starting with this initial experimental circle.

Message me directly if you want to stay in the loop for future circles and/or want to join the practice posse. Love, Mattttttt 214-733-0757
