Talk: Cathedrals of the Underground
Nov19
Thursday, November 19, 202618:00 – 19:00About the event
At the age of 77, Siri Derkert stood on high scaffolding in Östermalmstorg metro station as her sketches were sandblasted into the concrete: 145 metres of women who fought for peace, freedom and the right to vote. Derkert was one of those who championed the idea that stations could be "cathedrals underground". Her granddaughter Tora Derkert talks about her grandmother's life and art, and the woman behind the works. Talk, 1 hour. At Spårvägsmuseet, tickets required.
