Through the eighteen international figures commemorated on the Walk of Pride, you’ll delve into IHLIA’s rich international collection. The Amsterdam Walk of Pride will be unveiled on 8 July 2026 as a gift to the city of Amsterdam as part of WorldPride. The Walk is a commemorative route featuring more than 50 tiles honouring national and international figures who have contributed to LGBTQIA+ emancipation.
The exhibition centres on four themes: the power of the written word, politics and social activism, and inclusive religion. Together, they demonstrate that the struggle for equality and equity is hard-won.
