1st Friday Bike Ride -- Torrance Beach to Playa del Rey and back

We'll ride along the Marvin Braude Bike Trail to the Pacific Ave. bridge, the bridge that goes over Ballona Creek into Marina del Rey. If the group is adventurous, we could even continue into Marina del Rey. It's 24 miles roundtrip to the bridge and back, basically flat, with a few inclines around Dockweiler Beach. We'll ride past the Redondo Beach Pier, Hermosa Beach Pier, Manhattan Beach Pier, LAX, and Dockweiler Beach. You MUST wear a helmet to ride with us. We'll leave at 9:30am, so plan to arrive about 9:15am. There are no bike rentals available on this section of the beach, but you can rent bikes in Hermosa Beach at Hermosa Cyclery. If you're going to rent a bike, send me a message and we'll meet you by the surfer statue on the Pier in Hermosa Beach. Bring water and a snack. We usually have lunch at the Hermosa Beach pier. Favorite restaurants are Bonaparte Bistro, Tower 12, La Playita, or Martha's (if the group is small). Last minute questions?
