This class is in English. Our classes are also given in French on Monday evenings. Ce cours est en anglais. Nos cours sont aussi donnés en français les lundi soirs.
Topics Covered:
• Understand how we interact with money to identify risks & threats • Weigh the cost of risk vs the cost of planning • Create a plan to all but eliminate financial risk form your life
Boxing champion Mike Tyson once said: "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth." No matter how carefully you plan out your finances, there are events in life that can derail your plan and ruin your future. In this presentation, we will examine some of these risks, and provide ideas on how to plan for and neutralize them so you can plan your future confidently. These ideas don't have to be complicated or expensive, but to use Tyson's quote as an example it pays to make sure you are wearing a mouth-guard BEFORE you start getting punched in the mouth!
The class is free to attend, but please confirm your attendance by registering on our website ( http://www.tficlub.ca/free-financial-literacy-courses/ ). Spacing is limited, so reserve your spot today!
We share the same parking lot as the Desjardins building and are next to Globo. The doors open at 6:30pm, with coffee and hot chocolate served for those who arrive at that time. Someone will stay downstairs to let people in until 7:10pm, after which time the doors are locked.
