Details
Meetup Details: We will meet up as usual in the Super C parking lot just east of the Atwater Market, right in front of Pharmaprix, at 10:00 AM.
Route Highlights 15 km
We will slowly make our way to Place Notre Dame and Place Jacque Cartier. We will see the head office on Bank of Montreal which was the first bank in Canada our first Canadain sky scraper, the basilica of Notre Dame and adjoining buildings. We will travel on St Jacque know as the wall street of Canada and visit the former head office of the Royal Bank of Canada where we will see the interior splendour of this bank and stop at the coffee shop now situated in the bank. We will see several late 1800 ornate building that used to be insurance companies,shipping companies and piano manufactures. All the major companies were located in this area in the late 1800 as Montreal was the heart of the economic center of Canada.. The return takes us back along the canal to our meet up spot
