Make a Memory

State Library Victoria

About the event

A small moment becomes part of something bigger at State Library Victoria. Create a keepsake inspired by the book, These Long-Loved Things by Josh Pyke and Ronojoy Ghosh at a free drop-in craft session. Construct your own photo frame, then fill it with a memory that matters to you – a favourite place, a beloved object, a person, a feeling or a fleeting moment. Draw it, write it or let your imagination wander. When your memory feels just right, you can take your frame home and keep it close or add it to our growing installation at the Library. See how your small story sits alongside others to create a shared artwork of long-loved things. Perfect for children aged 5-12 years. Please note: A parent or carer must attend this activity for the entire duration with their child/children. This session runs between 1-4pm. No bookings are required, drop in anytime.
