Isabelle Huppert is on sparring form as one of a pair of con artists drifting their way along the Swiss-French border until a mark with his own agenda complicates the arrangement.
This is a more playful and lighter Chabrol but it is Chabrol nonetheless so a cold edge remains.
A caper film that understands its genre very well in that the line between predator and prey is always thinner than it seems.
