Vrouwejaars

Wina Ricardo, Lotte Velvet, Kim Schuddeboom and more female artists present stand-up, cabaret and music at De Kleine Komedie Amsterdam. A feminist alternative to the classic New Year's Eve show. Female artists with stand-up, cabaret and music

The Vrouwejaars is an annual performance at De Kleine Komedie in Amsterdam. A group of female artists presents their own take on the past year. They do this with stand-up, comedy, cabaret, singing and music. Each edition is a mix of established names and new talent. This year, Wina Ricardo, Lotte Velvet, Kim Schuddeboom, Kiki Schippers, Marie Koet and Katinka Polderman, among others, will be on stage. Vera Marijt provides the musical accompaniment and Yora Rienstra is the host of the afternoon.

An alternative to the classic New Year's Eve show

The Vrouwejaars positions itself as an alternative to the traditional New Year's Eve show (oudejaarsconference). While the latter format was long dominated by men, the Vrouwejaars lets female voices and perspectives be heard. The programme combines current material with gems from the artists' current work. This gives you a varied and surprising afternoon that closes the year in its own way.

De Kleine Komedie in Amsterdam
