COMMUNITY SCREENING in collaboration with Sunshine Cinema The Silwerskerm Festival honours its commitment to develop audiences by extending the festival's reach to in and around Cape Town by screening curated feature films to communities. Often the films selected have been informed by, inspired by or even produced in the chosen communities – a way for the festival to give back to the people. Determined not to crumble like his father, he buries his grief behind a cool front, wild lies and an overripe imagination, where a Kaapse Klopse brass band chases him through the streets. In therapy, he meets Sasha and falls for her. To get closer to her, he is strong-armed into the school poetry slam. But the nearer the competition comes, the harder his buried grief pushes to the surface, until the boy who runs from everything must finally turn and face it.
