Drop-In Sketching (Nov 5)
About the event
Opening November 15, Beatriz González: In Series and Full Color reveals a contemporary artist who critically reinterpreted canonical works of art by Rembrandt, Velázquez, Botticelli, Goya, Daumier, and others.
Join us to sketch pieces in the Art Institute’s permanent collection galleries of European painting with inspiration from González's contemporary prints and drawings.
This is the first of two Drop-In Sketching programs inspired by the exhibition Beatriz González: In Series and Full Color. The second program will take place on Thursday December 3.
This program is open to all experience levels. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sketchbooks and pencil(s). We also will have all necessary materials available on a first-come, first-served basis.
