This exhibition explores the history of the former novitiate and the architectural practice of RADDAR, directed by architect Sol Camacho, presenting drawings, watercolors, models, books, maps, historical documents, archival reproductions and photographs. Drawing on Georges Perec's concept of "interrogating the habitual" from L'Infra-ordinaire (1989), Camacho challenges the invisible made ordinary by repetition, seeking to restore meaning to everyday things. Structured across two thematic axes—Sensitive Survey and New Everyday—the show alternates between research and design, featuring historical and architectural documentation of the complex and its urban context in the Ipiranga neighborhood, alongside landscape, restoration and architectural projects. Alma Mater serves as a case study for contemporary architecture's central concerns: adaptive reuse, critical restoration, heritage preservation and the coexistence of memory with urban transformation. Exhibition highlights: chronology of the Antigo Noviciado Nossa Senhora das Graças; facsimiles of historical drawings, photographs and architectural surveys; 22 models in various materials and scales; original watercolor series by Sol Camacho; technical drawings and sketches; contemporary and historical photographs from over 15 city archives; curated library of 150 titles on adaptive reuse, restoration and architecture; and the landscape, restoration and architectural projects for Alma Mater.
