The photographic exhibition, Of Earth and Uprising, by Aaron Khedoori takes an inside look at the 2025 Nepalese Revolution, along with rural Himalayan culture across India and Nepal. Caught on film, the work places the viewer at the forefront of each moment, within each monoculture. The 30 or so works span across four subjects – The 2025 Nepalese Revolution, Ladakhi monk life, rural Punjabi farming and the Nepalese Dashain festival. A recent graduate of high school, born in 2005, Aaron took 2 gap years seeking to explore internationally, travelling rural across Europe and Asia. Discovering photojournalism, and without any formal training, Aaron undertook his own projects, covering Albania and Turkey before spending 5 months in India and Nepal. Currently, Aaron has returned to Sydney to explore photojournalism further through a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Arts at the University of Sydney. This is the first viewing of Aaron Khedoori’s work.
