Grachtenfestival: AuMEnsemble

AuMEnsemble takes you on a musical journey through Sufi and klezmer music. The trio performs original arrangements by composers such as Kinan Azmeh and Fazıl Say, re-recorded for chamber ensemble and electronics, at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam during the Grachtenfestival. Music between the Middle East and the West AuMEnsemble takes you on a journey through the musical traditions of the Middle East, colored by contemporary sound experiments. The program moves through repertoire inspired by Sufi and klezmer music, thus creating a dialogue between two worlds. Original arrangements for chamber ensemble and electronics The trio performs original arrangements based on music by composers such as Kinan Azmeh, Fazıl Say, Stephen Goss, and George Gurdjieff. The music has been reinterpreted for chamber ensemble and electronics. This results in hypnotic rhythms and refined timbres that hover between tradition and innovation. Three musicians from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague AuMEnsemble originated at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where Alberto Radossi (percussion), Danielle Bolletta (saxophone), and Marco Tencati Corino (guitar) met. The three musicians shared an interest in contemporary music and experimentation, and this is reflected in their playing. Concert at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam The concert takes place at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
