Ever wish there were an easier way to turn a room full of strangers into people you actually want to talk to? *That’s what Fast Friends is designed for.*
Instead of arriving at a busy pub and wondering who to approach, our host guides you through short conversations and rotations, giving you the chance to meet a variety of people throughout the evening. You get a little structure to make connecting easier — without making the evening feel forced or formal.
And once the hosted rounds finish, you can keep the evening going. 🎲 We’re back at Stout Irish Pub in Cabbagetown — a relaxed Irish pub with food, drinks and 50+ board games, giving you plenty of ways to continue socialising with the people you’ve met.

🤝 What to Expect 7:00 PM — Welcome & Drinks Meet your host, Faye, grab a drink and settle in. Coming alone? Completely fine. Many guests arrive solo, and we’ll help you get comfortable and connected from the start. 7:30 PM — Fast Friends This is where the evening gets going. You’ll move through a series of short, guided conversations, meeting different people along the way. Our host keeps the rotations moving, so you don’t have to worry about who to approach or what to do next. Just show up, join the conversation and see who you click with.
✨ Themed Connection Rounds Throughout the evening, we’ll mix in themed rounds and interactive prompts designed to make connecting easier. They’ll help you discover shared interests, experiences and unexpected things you have in common — taking the conversation beyond the usual small talk.
🎲 8:30 PM onwards — Board Games & Socialising Once the hosted rounds finish, the evening doesn’t have to. Stout has 50+ board games available, making it easy to keep the conversations going. Pick a game with the people you’ve met, grab another drink, join a group or simply continue chatting. You don’t have to be a serious gamer — the games are simply another easy way to socialise and get to know people.
🍻 Staying Later? Stout’s current After Dark Special runs from 9–11 PM, with $7 beers and $7 highballs, among other specials.
