Postcard making
About the event
Looking for a free school holiday activity? Unleash your creativity at The Rocks Discovery Museum with a free postcard making workshop. Kids can choose from three unique postcard designs featuring some of The Rocks' most iconic locations: George Street, Kendall Lane and Cadman's Cottage. Using a range of colourful art materials, young artists can personalise their chosen design and create a one-of-a-kind keepsake to take home or send to family and friends. This school holiday activity invites children to explore the art of handwritten communication, discovering how people once exchanged news, greetings and special memories through the post. By designing their own postcard, children can reflect on the enduring power of sending and receiving a personal message in an increasingly digital world. While you're here, continue the adventure with a free visit to The Rocks Discovery Museum, where interactive exhibits reveal the stories, people and history that shaped one of Sydney's oldest neighbourhoods. It's the perfect activity for families looking for fun, creative and free things to do in Sydney these school holidays.
