*🔥 A grieving farmer with nothing left to lose, who gave an entire nation the courage to stand...*

👋 Hey guys! This movie actually faced quite a bit of backlash from history buffs and film critics over the way it was initially rebranded and marketed in America, particularly for trying to sell it as a story about Robin Hood, when it was anything but. Hopefully they learned a valuable lesson, because you can't take that many liberties in the name of entertainment.

This gritty historical drama from legendary director Paul Greengrass and starring Andrew Garfield follows a humble labourer devastated by the Black Death and pushed to rebellion by tyrannical taxes. What follows is an uprising of 10,000 commoners marching on London to challenge the feudal system and fight for their freedom.

The Meetup: We'll be meeting for our usual drinks before the film, and then afterwards we'll get together to share our thoughts, discuss the film, and give it our [Letterboxd](https://letterboxd.com/movieroadhouse/) scores.
